9 Month Old Funding
Although the setting only takes children from 2 years old, depending on when they turn 2 you may be able to get funding for them when they start. Parents/carer’s who are working will be able to access 15 hours funding for their child if they turn 2 but aren’t eligible due to when their birthday falls. Any further information on this please speak to a member of staff at induction.
2 Year Old Funding
Parents/carer’s are able to access 15 hours funding for their child the term after they turn 2. E.G. if your child turns 2 in October funding can be accessed from the following January. This can be 15 hours for low or no income families or 15 hours for working families. Parents/carers are responsible for checking their unique DERN number on a regular basis to ensure that they are still eligible for funding. Failure to do this may result in you being charged for sessions which are not funded. However, there is a period of grace due to changes in personal circumstances.
There is also other ways to help pay for childcare through the tax free childcare for working families and universal credit for childcare.
3 Year Old Funding
15 Hour Funding
Your child will have access to 15 hours funding the term after they turn 3. There is no criteria for this and all parents will get access to this.
30 hour funding
Parents/carer’s are able to have access to 30 hours. This is for working families. Parents/carers are responsible for checking their unique DERN number on a regular basis to ensure that they are still eligible for funding. Failure to do this may result in you being charged for sessions which are not funded. However, there is a period of grace due to changes in personal circumstances.
To check eligibility for funding you can use the childcare choices link below.
